What can I expect?
How long is an Evangel service?
In total, the Evangel morning service is about 90 minutes in length. Services begin with the Evangel Praise Team and band, led by Shane Hammett, opening the service in music - song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of service is complete, our pastor, Rev. Rufus Johnson will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus.
What's the culture like at Evangel?
Sunday's at Evangel are exciting, casual, and relaxed. Come as you are and expect to feel welcomed as our guest.
What about my kids?
We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week - and at Creation Kidz, we make this a priority. Our children's pastor, Sherry Hayden, has new and exciting ways to teach your kids about Jesus. You’ll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes to meet Sherry and her helpers in the Creation Kidz experience. Creation Kidz begins at 10:30 am on Sunday is offered for kids ages infant through 12.

"Honestly, I was a little anxious attending Evangel for the first time...a little unsure of what to expect. But as soon as I walked through the front doors it felt like home."
